Nature above the waterline
Not all natural attractions in the Brac are to be found below the waterline. In fact, the biggest factor that sets the Brac apart from the other two islands is what lies well above the ocean.
The Bluff dominates Cayman Brac to such an extent that it leant the island its name – Brac is the Gaelic word for bluff. It boasts the highest elevation in the Cayman Islands, climbing steadily from the western tip of the island to the east and playing host to a wide range of unique fauna and flora that cannot be experienced anywhere else. This makes a trip to the Brac well worth it for nature lovers.
