National Trust needs funds to purchase more land

The United Nations has declared 2010 the International Year of Biodiversity. With this in mind, the National
Trust for the Cayman Islands is working hard to bolster the Land Reserve Fund through intensive fundraising.

The fund is used to protect land which is under threat of being destroyed or negatively impacted by development.

The UN invites the world to take action in 2010 to safeguard the variety of life on earth: biodiversity.

In recognition of the UN’s declaration, the National Trust is seeking to raise funds which will aid in the
purchase of biodiverse land throughout the Cayman Islands.

“We would like to see more land in the Cayman Islands preserved,” said Janet Walker, council member of the Trust.
