Press Release: New 501(c)(3) partnerships for donations to the National Trust for the Cayman Islands

13 September 2022 – The National Trust for the Cayman Islands (NTCI) has been approved by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) America as a 501(c)(3) partner. This approval facilitates prospective US donors’ support of various NTCI environmental, historic and educational programmes through their tax- exempt gifts via the CAF America portal, with the NTCI as the grant recipient. All grant submissions are approved by the CAF America Board of Directors prior to being awarded.

It is through this portal that the NTCI has received grants to support the Blue Iguana Conservation, COP26 conference and most recently a $100K donation towards mangroves and the education programme.

“This is a momentous achievement for the NTCI to be able to have 501(c)(3) partners to facilitate donations towards our programmes. We have gone through quite an involved process to be approved by these organizations,” says Annick Jackman, Executive Director. “We are especially honoured because this allowed for significant donations in memory of Judy Innes from the Cresap Family Foundation to our organization after the family spent time learning about our programmes.” Click this link to read full press release
