Now Hiring: Summer 2025 Conservation Intern
The National Trust is offering a paid summer internship for a Caymanian high school or university student (16+) to support wildlife fieldwork under the DPLUS163 grant – Preserving Endemic Threatened Wildlife Populations through Effective Protected Area Management.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
- Sorting and organizing wildlife camera images from protected areas to help monitor species like the Blue Iguana and invasive predators
- Assisting with acoustic analysis of bird calls, learning to identify native and endemic birds using specialized software (training supported by the Department of Environment)
- Data entry and support at the Blue Iguana Conservation Facility
Internship: 2–3 months (Full-time Monday to Friday, starting ASAP)
Stipend: CI$1,250/month
Must have reliable transportation
