Press Release: Unique Cayman Nature-Inspired Jewellery Collection Designed by Celine Cousteau and Susan Foster released

Cayman Nature-Inspired Jewellery Collection Blu Lagartos designed by Celine Cousteau and Susan Foster, has been released for sale. Nature and heritage intertwine with a striking and meaningful 12-piece limited-edition fine jewellery collection, Blu Lagartos, designed by Celine Cousteau — descendant of a family with a legacy of activism and exploration, and jewellery designer Susan Foster — whose familial Caymanian heritage dates back to the early settlers of the 1700’s. The nature-theme created for the collection is directly inspired by the endangered and protected flora and fauna of the Cayman Islands, such as the Blue Iguana, the Wild Banana Orchid — Cayman’s national flower, and Sybil’s Crown Beard — a rare flowering plant found only on Cayman Brac.

Susan Foster, who has had an illustrious career as a jewellery designer, her designs have graced the pages of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle and other eminent publications. Her pieces have adorned many of Hollywood’s elite including Kate Hudson, Renee Zellweger, Kerry Washington and Zoe Salanda. Foster suspended retirement to design this meaningful nature inspired collection, in collaboration with Celine Cousteau, as a philanthropic endeavor. Foster, embarked on a journey of reconnecting with her roots, and exploring the natural beauty and wildlife of the Cayman Islands, and spent time at the Blue Iguana Conservation facility drawing inspiration for the unique designs and exceptional craftsmanship of the collection that pays homage to Cayman’s natural beauty and heritage.

The collection will be featured at the National Trust Blue Tie Dinner on display in a private room as part of the “Blue Tie Dinner”, which will be held on Saturday, 31 January, 6:30 pm at Grand Old House. Guests will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase from the collection on the night of the event, and all net proceeds will go directly to the National Trust. A limited number of tickets are available for this elegant dinner featuring the award-winning cuisine of the Grand Old House including fine wine, from the National Trust office or online at nationaltrust.org.ky/ blue-tie-dinner-save-the-date-31-january-2026/

This elegant tribute celebrates both the legacy of the National Trust protecting Cayman’s rich biodiversity and ecosystems, and Foster’s long-standing heritage. Every adornment carries purpose.

We invite the community to join us for a night of celebrating Cayman’s wildlife, an opportunity to support National Trust fundraising initiatives, and make an impact. Together, we continue to safeguard our national treasures.
