The West Bay District Committee for the National Trust invites you to join them for a relaxing and informative walk around historic central West Bay on Ash Wednesday, 18th February from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm.

Beginning at John Gray Memorial Church
(Arrive 15 minutes early for a prompt 4 pm start inside the church)

Walkers will ‘discover’ or ‘re-discover’ traditional homes of architectural or national interest as well as places, streetscapes, and sites of cultural interest. Learn more about early settlement in West Bay: men, women, industries, and points of interest from early days and those who helped to shape the community and island.

Like older generations of West Bayers who met ‘out on the bay’ by ‘The Big Gun’ let’s wind down and fellowship at the close of day, let’s end the walk by sitting on the sea wall and watching the sun set over Northwest Point.

Come unwind, recharge, reflect, and be inspired to understand and preserve our West Bay history and culture on this holiday Wednesday.
