Donated by the Herrman family in 2017, this protected area spans both sides of the road, encompassing both a critical wetland and a sea turtle nesting beach. The bluff face features Blue Elephant Cave and the seasonal wetland is surrounded by Red Mangrove, a rare plant in Cayman Brac. Although turtles were once abundant, today they are endangered and their nesting beaches are now protected. Please avoid disturbing turtles in any way. The area where the beach is located is a marine reserve and there is no take of marine life (alive or dead) permited.
