Our historic programme promotes an awareness and appreciation of Cayman’s built heritage and brings our unique traditions and culture to life. The programme supports one of our primary goals, which is to safeguard historic sites for current and future generations.
Through our historic programme, we acquire, restore and maintain several historic properties, and conduct research and organise events, projects and educational opportunities for the public.
Since the Trust was founded in 1987, we’ve acquired several historic sites and properties, primarily by donation, which tell the story of Cayman’s history and development from the 1700s through to modern era. These sites are now protected under the National Trust Law (2010 Revision).
